Melete Dolan aka Blue from my webcomic, The Silver Eye! It is my favorite immortal lady with snazzy fashion sense that no one sees because she hates everyone but Bhatair.
I've been wanting to do a Nedarian energy hand painting for so long!It was interesting translating it from my comic style to more realism. I think the Nedarian hands look better in the comic style, and you can tell it's a little more that style here than the rest of the portrait. I was conflicted on whether I should make the bones more silhouetted or more three-dimensional.
I think the lighting/coloring was influenced by that scene in Star Wars. You know the one.

This is impressive. I too often forget that you have a great understanding of realism. Those eyes are fantastic, and the skin is done perfect
